On December 7, 2015 Chatrium Hotel Royal Lake Yangon held a Christmas tree lighting event to mark the beginning of the joyous season.  Also together with the event, Chatrium proudly host Joint Chambers Networking at its pool garden. The programs of event were as follows:

7.00 pm GM and Executive Director of AMCHAM delivered welcome remarks

7.15 pm Celebration of Christmas Tree Lighting and lighting of all building lights with GM, Executive Director of AMCHAM, Ambassador of United States, Ambassador of Thailand, Ambassador of Turkey and children & teacher from Kyimyindaing Blind

7.30 pm Introduction to Kyimyindaing Blind School and donation program starts

8.00 pm Donation and Gift to Blind School

8.15 pm Christmas Choir from Saint Barnabas Church & Hotel Choir Group

The evening started with lighting of the Christmas tree at the hotel pool garden. Daw May Myat Mon Win, General Manager and Ms Judy Benn Executive Director of AMCHAM gave an opening speech to welcome the joyous season with warm heartfelt thanks from Chatrium Hotel Royal Lake Yangon to diplomats, business partners, guests, members from Foreign Chambers, media and associates. After that celebrated the Christmas Tree Lighting with General Manager, Daw May Myat Mon Win, Executive Director of AMCHAM, Ms Judy Benn, U.S Ambassador to Myanmar HE Mr Derek Mitchell, Royal Thai Ambassador to Myanmar, HE Mr Pisanu Suvanajata, and Turkish Ambassador to Myanmar, HE Mr Murat Yavuz Ates and children & teacher from Kyimyindaing Blind. Introducing the Kyimyindaing Blind School to guests followed the Christmas tree lighting ceremony. Children from Blind School performed Christmas songs. The hotel and guests made a donation (amount excess Ks 1,000,000) to the School as well as provided Christmas gifts for the children. Then the event was closing with Christmas Choir from Saint Barnabas Church & Hotel Choir Group.

In this year occasion, Chatrium organized the event together with all foreign chambers in Myanmar such as American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM), Australia Myanmar Business Group, Australian- Myanmar Chamber of Commerce, British Chamber of Commerce in Myanmar, French Myanmar Chamber of Commerce & Industries (FMCCI), German Chamber of Commerce, Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Myanmar (JCCM), Malaysian-Myanmar Business Council, Singapore Association Myanmar, Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Myanmar, Thai Business Association Myanmar.
