Following the remarkable success of its inaugural edition, The Oyster World Cup Gastronomy Series 2026 returned on an even grander scale, transforming Chatrium Grand Bangkok into a vibrant hub of world-class gastronomy throughout June and July.
Over an immersive eight-week celebration, the festival brought together Michelin-starred chefs, world oyster-opening champions, acclaimed mixologists, culinary experts, and premium producers from more than eight countries. Elevating Professional Oyster Craftsmanship in Thailand
Organised in collaboration with France Écaille, Disciples Escoffier Thailand, and EDELWEISS, the Écailler Oyster Competition 2026 (2nd Edition) was created to elevate professional oyster-opening standards in Thailand while inspiring and developing the country's culinary professionals.
More than a competition, the championship offers its winner an exclusive opportunity to travel to France for a professional learning experience, exchanging knowledge with internationally recognised oyster specialists and gaining first-hand insight into France's rich oyster heritage.

Following an exciting showcase of precision, technical expertise, presentation, and speed. Chef Pong, Mr. Chanwit Sae-lee (front row, third from right) from Chatrium Grand Bangkok was crowned Champion of the Écailler Oyster Competition 2026 (2nd Edition).
His outstanding performance earned him the honour of representing Thailand through an exclusive professional learning journey in France, where he will further enhance his expertise alongside internationally renowned oyster professionals.
