Discover what’s happening in Bangkok this October, from a new fitness challenge and seasonal dining to festive creativity and Halloween evenings at Chatrium Grand Bangkok.
October brings a different rhythm to Bangkok. From an international fitness competition to seasonal flavours and creative gatherings, the city offers plenty of reasons to step out and discover something new.
Here are a few moments worth making time for this month.
A new fitness challenge arrives in Bangkok
Bangkok welcomes Thailand’s first DEKA FIT from 31 October to 1 November 2026, bringing together fitness enthusiasts for a challenge that combines strength, endurance and determination.
The competition features 10 functional fitness zones, each followed by a 500-metre run, making up a total running distance of five kilometres.
Whether taking part or simply watching, DEKA FIT brings a different kind of energy to the city as athletes come together to test their limits.
Date: 31 October – 1 November 2026
Sundays made for sharing and creating
The festive season begins a little earlier at Savio, where Sunday brunch comes with a creative addition.
Gather around for the gingerbread house competition, an activity that brings families together to decorate their own festive creations while enjoying Savio’s international brunch buffet.
From colourful decorations to the finishing touches, it is a chance for children and adults to enjoy something hands-on, with plenty of room for imagination.
The activity takes place every Sunday until 20 December 2026, adding a little festive spirit to the weekend.
Location: Savio, G floor, Chatrium Grand Bangkok
Available: Every Sunday until 20 December 2026
A closer look at the people behind the ingredients
At etcha, the story of a dish often begins long before it reaches the kitchen.
Chef Giacomo Primante works closely with Thai growers, fishermen and artisan producers, allowing seasonal ingredients to guide what appears on the menu.
From seafood caught in the Andaman Sea to cacao grown in Phuket and locally crafted cheese, each ingredient brings a connection to its place of origin.
Recognised with one Michelin star in the MICHELIN Guide Thailand 2026, etcha approaches dining without borders, bringing together Thai ingredients and techniques from different culinary traditions.
It is a perspective shaped by curiosity, respect for producers and an appreciation of what Thailand has to offer.
Location: etcha, 7th floor, Chatrium Grand Bangkok
An evening with a different atmosphere
As October draws to a close, Flow takes on a Halloween mood with an evening of cocktails, music and poolside gatherings.
Khun Tong Somkanay brings Saneha Gin cocktails to the occasion, while live DJ sets carry the evening into the night.
With Halloween-inspired surroundings and drinks prepared for the occasion, it is a chance to spend the evening with friends and enjoy a different side of Chatrium Grand Bangkok.
