Raleuk Khaoyai

Raleuk Khao Yai Thai cooking rooted in tradition, served in a setting that was made for it. The menu draws from the classics: aromatic curries, fresh seafood, dishes that have earned their place in the Thai culinary canon over generations. There is real care in the kitchen here, and the atmosphere makes it easy to linger well past the last course. Located within the resort. We recommend an evening visit, when the setting comes into its own under softer light. Tip from the hosts: Order the curry. It is the dish that tells you most about the kitchen.

The kitchen serves Italian and Thai cooking through the afternoon, before giving way to a steakhouse menu as the evening settles in. Later still, fire shows, acrobatics and DJ sets transform the space into something that has to be seen to be fully appreciated. Khao Yai after dark, at its most alive. 270 metres from the hotel, a short walk from the resort entrance. Tip from the hosts: Stay for the full evening. The transformation from restaurant to jungle club is worth experiencing from beginning to end.

Sai Sook Khao Yai

Sai Sook Khao Yai A homemade ice cream shop with popsicles made in-house, each one named after the wildlife of the park: Bird, Wild Dog, Marbled Cat, Red-Headed Griffin Bird. The flavours carry as much personality as their names suggest, and the colours are as vivid as the inspiration behind them. Small, charming, and genuinely unlike anything else in the area. Approximately 6.6 kilometres from the hotel, around 10 minutes by car. Tip from the hosts: Try more than one. The names alone make it difficult to choose, and that is entirely by design.

EL Café Khaoyai

EL Café Khao Yai EL Café Khao Yai A Moroccan-inspired café set in the hills, with terracotta walls, arched doorways and a mix of sun-lit and shaded outdoor seating that gives it a warmth felt immediately on arrival. The signature iced latte is reason enough to make the trip, though most guests find themselves staying longer than planned, drawn in by the quiet and the considered detail of the place. A short drive that feels further away than it is, in the best sense. Approximately 3 kilometres from the hotel, around 5 minutes by car. Tip from the hosts: Find a shaded seat outside and resist the urge to check your phone. The setting does the rest.
