New School Building Handing-Over Ceremony at Nawarat Monastic School
Chatrium Hotel Royal Lake Yangon held its donation event for handing-over the newly school-building on 25th January 2019 (Friday) at Nawarat Monastic School in Shwe Pyi Thar Township.
This donation ceremony took place in the new school building of Nawarat Monastic School together with representatives from Chatrium Hotel Royal Lake Yangon, Head Master Monks, teachers, students, invited guests and media. As per the program, management team and staff of Chatrium Hotel handed-over the newly school-building (1,000 sq. feet) to Head Master Sayadaw and then offered lunch to guests.
This new-school building was initiated with the funds raised from Music for Myanmar Charity Event 2017 and 2018 which makes the building worth (1,000 sq. feet, 16,800,000 kyats - sixteen million eight hundred thousand). With this newly school-building, (150) students of Nawarat Monastic School will be able to study in this building. Hence, we would like to share our happiness with our sponsors and business partners of The Music for Myanmar Charity Event 2017 and 2018.
Nawarat Monastic School is located in Quarter No. 8, Nawarat Road, Shwe Pyi Thar Township, Yangon and it was founded in 2012 by Headmaster Sayadaw U Kay Lar Tha. It has come to accommodate over 300 students; around half of whom are in-house children. Within the short span of a few years, it has also become a fundamental establishment in Shwe Pyi Thar Township providing education for children of any religion and ethnic background.
